DIGITAL SOURCES
Sony SCD-C333ES SACD player as CD transport and SACD source.
Cullen Circuits DL3 Stage III Signature Mod of a PS Audio DLIII DAC as CD
source.
PREAMPLIFIER
Audio Experience +R tube preamplifier.
CROSSOVER
Dahlquist LP-1 Low-pass crossover.
AMPLIFIERS
Rogue Audio Stereo 90 tube amplifier for frequencies above 80 Hz.
Hafler 9270 solid state amplifier for frequencies below 80 Hz.
SPEAKERS
Magneplanar MG 10 speakers are driven by the Rogue Stereo 90
Amplifier. These speakers sit on home made bases which position them
vertically both side to side and front to back.
Home made bass modules using Vifa 10 inch drivers are driven by the
Hafler amplifier
INTERNCONNECT CABLES
DH Labs BL-1 interconnect cable with either Eichmann Bullet RCA plugs or
Vampire 800CB gold over copper RCA connectors. All connections are
silver-soldered.
SPEAKER CABLES
Alpha Core Goertz MI2 speaker cables—two pairs.
AC CORDS
PS Audio Prelude, Super Punch, or Plasma AC cords.
AC LINE CONDITIONING
There is a Monster HTS1000 feeding the preamplifier and crossover. The
Sony SCD-C333ES SACD player is fed by an isolation transformer plugged
into the HTS1000. This equipment is on a dedicated 20 Amp service. The
PS Audio DLIII is fed by a TrippLite LC-1200 line conditioner/filter on its
own 15 Amp Circuit. The Rogue 90 Amplifier is directly connected to a
dedicated 20 Amp service. The Hafler amplifier is also on a dedicated 20
Amp service. A Blue Circle BC 86 Mark II Power Line Pillow parallel filter is
on the same circuit as the Monster HTS1000. I am still experimenting as
to where this component may be most beneficial.
